Judging

The Delaware Valley Science Fairs are seeking research-experienced scientists, engineers, or technologists willing to volunteer one day of their expertise to help one of the most important STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education programs in the Delaware Valley.
Independent research by students in the tri-state Delaware Valley area is usually presented first in their schools and then in regional Science Fairs from which the winners in each category and grade advance to the Delaware Valley Science Fairs in April.
It is the intention of all Science Fairs that students receive as much positive reinforcement for their efforts as possible. Students need to meet people, such as you because that experience enriches their education and perhaps encourages them to pursue a career in science or engineering. It also provides you with a chance to see how STEM education is progressing in our schools, and to contribute to that progress. A few minutes of professional contact with a student scientist or engineer may make a lifetime of difference in their career.
Judging requires a full day. Judging instruction and support are included, along with a continental breakfast, box lunch, and free parking.
Contact with student scientists in a Science Fair is a rewarding experience for scientists or technicians who have recent experience in any field of medicine, science, or engineering.
The judging for the 2024 DVSF will be done in-person at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks on April 3rd, 2024. Judging is a full day commitment starting at 8:00am and proceeding until approximately 3:30pm - 5:00pm depending on when each judging team is able to return results and feedback.
Note: All of our communications with Judges is through e-mail, so we must have your current e-mail address. We will not be sending any correspondence through the United States Postal Service. Thank you again for your support!!
